Cartoons Steamboat Willie (Mickey Mouse) is now in the Public Domain as of 2024

As I'm sure you've all heard, as of beginning of this year, Mickey Mouse is in the public domain. There is a catch however, (because Disney are kniving bastards), which is only the Steamboat Willie Mickey Mouse can be used in commercial products and I'm not sure you can even get away with the Mickey Mouse name for the most part.

Anyways this particular Mickey you're legally allowed to do what you want with and many artists already have, and unfortunately the le edgy redditor horror games and movies are already in the works too...
