British rap has been my bread and butter for a bit now. Monster Florence is my personal favorite of the genre

I love Takanaka's discography so much it's unreal

This song is really good. I'm sure you've heard this album (or at the very least the first song) before, but it came to mind while listening to your recommendation:

I'm glad this thread popped up because Spotify Wrapped just came out for this year, so I've got a few things I'd like to share with you all:

One I've been really into this year has been KAYTRANADA's 2016 album, 99.9%:

It's hard to pick a song I like most on it, but TOGETHER was the one I've enjoyed for the longest time. It's unfortunate that this artist hasn't released anything I've liked since.

For a specific song I've enjoyed this year, Imaginary Folklore by Nujabes has been one I've listened to a lot throughout the years, and this year has been no different:

Thanks for reading and I hope you all can enjoy these songs as much as I do.

Just bought the Vinyl for this album. Still waiting for it to come in. It's one of my favorites, and have been listening to it for years and cannot stop.

The song Funk Express is a really good, more popular, one and is actually in the game Bomb Rush Cyberfunk. Super good game.

Sublime and Missing Love are really good ones too. The whole album is fire, though, if you guys have the time to listen to it all.

so anons, do you think you know old skool music? well let me take you back to a man ive been listening to since i was a child. back when you had to buy CDs to play music in your car and more than likely had a small little container of your favorite CDs in your car

The Gories (from Detroit, hot of the press). A trio that released about three albums (realistically about ~40 songs because the majority of them were re-releases in albums with extra songs), in the very late garage punk rock revival of the late-late 80s.

My fave is Nitroglycerine:

it is so fucking GOOD.
just raw and unfiltered, pure drums and guitar, amateurish but still with a spirit and feel for the thing that I think rock was always supposed to be. been listening for about 2 years to them.

There is this documentary in u2b if anyone gets interested:
