Reddit blackout: Thousands of communities are going dark today - here's why
Tens of millions of people are set to be without their favourite Reddit pages for at least two days, as users rebel against a move that could see some of the platform's top third-party apps forced to shut down.

Not sure if many of you have heard but Reddit is having a blackout at the moment as they've started charging people to use their API which will ruin some of Reddit's most famous third party apps. Naturally people aren't happy about this so loads of popular subreddits have gone private, to a point where the site has been having issues and even crashing because its been done so suddenly for the system to deal with properly. Just another case of why mainstream social media apps are shit and why you should use alt ones, like the one you're using right now lol.
