Ghetto Smosh is completely transformative and falls under fair use. The fact that large companies/entities are able to bully small creators with their finances is so sickening. You can't even do anything about it because to do so you'd have to hire a legal team, which is obviously retarded as hell but because the way the copyright system works that's literally the only way.
So your only option becomes to abandon whatever cool shit you were working on because you don't have hundreds of thousands to cover the expenses of defending against the lawsuit which will be struck down. If you just ignore them, they'll take you to court and win because you're too poor to do anything about it. One of many fundamental issues in the US.
Earlier today, the official Ghetto Smosh Tw*tter page announced that they received a cease and desist from the official Smosh team, asking them to "stop all online activity immediately".
While GS has complied thus far, they also pushed the tag #SaveGhettoSmosh in a follow-up tweet.
