I've noticed this before but I guess tonight I feel like talking about it.
Someone makes a legion of bots, normally to at least some expense, creates names, accounts, material, ect for them. What does that someone do normally? Get a return on their investment, right? Either from drop shipping or porn scams or something similar.

But recently I've seen different bots. They are obviously inhuman, and most even speak with AI generated sales pitches for nothing in particular. Some will even pay for ad space!

So you go into the bots profile to see how it's scamming you and come to find... Nothing?
What's the point? What's the angle of attack? It makes no sense! Why go through all that trouble, or even just get a tweet out there in the first place, just to let it serve as digital litter? No possibility to make profit, no account to link to, nothing!

Is it something satanic? Is it some deep form of cooperate espionage? Are brain worms becoming more common? I feel like I'm taking crazy pills!

Attached is a screenshot of one of many of these types of accounts. This one was under a dude just asking where to put his CRT. No bio, no followers, following no one, only has this one picture that it spams. What's the point??

I just looked at this specific bot again and my eyes glided over the scam link. Ah well :(, I look like a fool lol. But my question still stands somewhat. Go on any large Twitter thread and you'll see either bots with nft pfps saying "Hi guys! What's up?" In a promoted tweet, or some ai generated woman saying something to the affect of "spurring the economy with a symphony of smart investments", and both have no reason or explanation nor links to anything

I remember tf2 had such a problem back before 2019 , I remember random micspammer bots would join matches , but instead of playing annoying shit or just music they'd play random things like baptist preaching? It was so strange but most of them would be completely innocent and wouldn't be a scam or anything , it would just be a youtube video of preaching.
many theories popped up , my favorite one being that they were somehow bots that left the control of the owner and just join random servers simply because they have no control and gained some sort of pseudo free will. This is extremely interesting to me ,as a bot just doing this at this time period when AI was being developed in its infancy , I don't think its impossible that some server admin just forgot that he had bots hosted and just kept them up forever and then somehow getting this sort of information. Though extremely improbable based on how AI really works , but its fun to think about some random bots roaming TF2 because they picked up some strange data.

yeah lmao , I find it really interesting that someone or something is doing this for seemingly no reason. I could be wrong but who knows , i doubt mic spamming would convert many people , if anything id think it turn off people. Regardless that fact someone or something is doing this is extremely strange , is it a troll? spergy christian? roamer bots? who knows , only thing we know is that we don't know.

I don't get it either. I've looked at the AI bots and they generally aren't trying to scam people. I don't know what their purpose is.

Y'all overestimate people that use Twitter.
Those bot accounts are trying to gather credibility. They post AI pics (of w*men of course) to gain followers. Later accounts with few followers are sold to like tweets / follow an account of some wannabe celebrity.

Fresh accounts with 0 followers are too obvious and person benefiting from likes/followers would be called out for it. But nobody is going to investigate if 100 accounts with 10-15 followers each is legit

PUSSY IN BIO

if elon wants to genuinely improve twitter and remove all the bots he would remove china, israel, iran, and maybe india from accessing twitter and region lock them altogether. but considering how he doesnt even run twitter as the head honcho anymore i doubt it will happen.

assuming if he doesnt paywall it of course. have to find ways to make money and all that.

I'd pay money to go back to 2014 bot-free and regularly updated TF2, we had no idea how good we had it...

Yeah 100% so many people don't realise this, there's good money to be made in this bot spam and you can bet there is some clever and kniving people behind these bots making a good buck from it. No major social media websites are bothering to properly lay the law with them so it ain't a massive shock to me opportunistic individuals are trying to make strides with this while they still can. Like have you seen that weird AI art on Facebook that boomers just yap up and like? You can blame grandpa on why these machines are doing so well.

Only example I'm showing as they are genuinely grim and I'm pretty sure most break the NSFW rule but look at the weird Jesus AI art to understand what I'm getting at.
