So my first ventures into music production were probably when I was like 12 years old or something but (thankfully) none of that has been preserved.
The point where I got into music more seriously was when I discovered the dub techno genre. It's basically minor chords with tons of echo and reverb. In terms of style it can go anywhere from ambient to house to hard techno. I didn't realize at first that dub techno actually descended from reggae dub, which makes sense once you know but I was surprised when I found out...
Unfortunately I haven't actually finished any music for over 5 years since I got a job, kinda difficult to push myself to do much after work.
I'm not gonna post the oldest stuff here as I think it's not that good, but it's on that same channel if you're interested.
Even though I used dub techno as a starting point, many tracks go in a very different direction, some I don't even know the genre of.
I'm just gonna post some random / favorites starting from what I consider my peak - the Red Lit Rooms album.
This one is a more typical smooth dub techno housy kinda track:
This one idk what genre to call it at all, it's kinda slightly slow breakbeat but not exactly, but it's one of my favs:
This one tries to mix something like trap with dub techno, but I think the kick is too sharp, it's just mixed kinda weird looking back at it now:
This one is typical house with a bit of a jazzy flavor:
Onto the next album, this track is again some downtempo thing mixed with dub techno with a very weird ending:
This one came from an idea to make a track totally filled with sounds of film cameras:

This one pretty simple but probably the best housy track from me:

I have so many wip tracks so I could make another album if I wasn't so lazy...
