Originally was going to post this in this thread: https://forum.marianabay.com/threads/plan-for-forum-going-forward.822/#post-9767 , but considering what's been done is no longer a plan and has gone into effect I figured a new thread was more fitting.
As I'm sure you good folk have noticed a bit has changed around here, new boards, new styling, a change of character, etc. I hope this nice little changelog helps go over all these changes so you know what's new and what to expect from here.
What's changed?
+ New creator hub category with five boards centred on creators and their projects and creations.
+Two renamed boards: Mariana Underground has simply became /mu/ and Art & Content Creation is now /art/. Both are relatively the same as before and retain their old threads (except ones that were moved) but are now more centred on creators and their work.
+Three new boards for the creator hub: /vid/ the content creator board (yknow like videos and streaming), /cod/ for all things to do with coding/tech/software, and /lit/ for books and writing. Not only are these boards for promoting your own projects but for anything and everything to do with the topic also, I hope you fellas enjoy and make use of these new boards.
+Help desk category has been removed.
-Rules & Info on node list link has been removed. The board can now be found on the help & info tab or via the link to it on the footer
-Announcements & Forum Updates node list link has been removed. The board can now be accessed via the new news ticker on top the front page or via the link in the footer.
-Saloon removed as no one used it and you can hide your posts from guests anyways
-Gutter and whatever was stored in it has been deleted, there was nothing of value in there and I don't believe spam posting should be encouraged.
+New offtopic category for /pub/ (general chat), /xpol/ (mix of paranormal and politics as before), and /hob/ (the hobbies board).
+Boards now have chan naming because aesthetics and shortens the urls too, also because I felt like it.
+V3 styling has been underway yet not finished. This new style is now compatible with Xenforo 2.3, has a light and dark mode, and has threads and user posts on top of the page instead of the sidebar. This was mainly done due to new threads being annoying to find quickly on mobile so overall it helps with ease of use.
+Donors now can style their profiles with style suite, we wanted a way to help reward people who donate to the forum so there you go.
+Ko-fi page is back up for those who want to donate.

I believe that's it for major updates, will update this thread as more is added but V3 is planned to be our biggest update yet and with it the revival of this forum after a troublesome few months. Thanks for those who still support our small forum now and let's usher in this new era for the forum.
