Welcome, to the Devil Daggers & HYPER DEMON general. Since there's a number of you guys who already play one or both games, I figured we could get this thread going. We can use it to to talk about these games and for posting your PRs for either.

Never heard of either of these games? Great! They're amazing and you should probably check them out, so I'll make it really easy for you guys.



The goal of Devil Daggers is simple, kill as many demons on your screen, collecting the red gems they drop, and stay within the bounding area while doing so, all while trying to do this for as long as you can. Your high score is defined by how long you are able to fend off the hoard.



The goal of HYPER DEMON is also simple and very similar to Devil Daggers, but differs in a few unique ways. At a base level, the games are very similar, kill as many demons on your screen as you can, collecting the red gems they drop, and stay within the bounding area while doing so. But now, your ultimate goal is to kill these demons as fast as you can. Your high score is defined by how quickly you can kill the hoard of demons, not how long you're able to last. This game builds upon a lot of what Devil Daggers has laid out, adding dashes, 360 view of enemies, etc.

I played devil daggers back in high school, so about 6 years ago. I'm curious if I'm able to make it to 100s now.

That's about the same time I got into it hahaha. 2nd game I've played in years and I got 182.1829. Not too bad for not playing in a while.

nice accuracy. Usually I'm around 18-22%

done couple of runs today. Gosh I can't do with that wave around 180s mark. with 3 (or 4?) of those flying things that steal your crystals. I need to look up wave patterns and learn them

I watched the WR and some of the other top rungs in-game and tried to emulate some of the strategies that are used. Circling the room counter-clockwise after the first spider-looking guys seems to be pretty effective.

I decided to not follow any of those WR strategies.

whenever I'm mid run and tower spawns, I just bunny hop in a straight line to it. If it's early in the run (sub 2 minutes) I sometimes do those fancy "shotgun bunny hops". They're technically faster than normal bh, but you risk getting the skulls high in the air. I had few runs where a random ass skull landed "on my head" and killed the run

The squids move clockwise and slowly move to the center and if you go counter clock wise your chances of hitting the gems actually increases
