yeah a lot of people just listen to big iron due to new vegas and or word of mouth and say "That's the one." yeah, its a good song but its like QUEEN or any big name song/band, you listen to it too much and you start to hate.

but The Master's Call? now that's a classic.

found this song while browsing on some night and man this song has some lore into it. apparently it is based off some real murders way back then of some guy going psycho and murdering his neighbors and some people for no real reason that was proven. kind of a crazy think to make a song about but hey darker songs have been made

Adding that to my country playlist, its good shit. Most of what makes old school country good is the fact thats its all very real, whether its gritty and dark or just flat out sad and miserable.

last one always chokes me up because I was raised by my grandparents, had to bury the both of them.

Used to be we had a station round where I live "Country music legends, 97.1" (it's gone to shit now but) for about a decade and a half there it was the only station any radio we had was tuned to and goddamn was it kino. Here's a small selection of ones I like off the top of my head:
