This is one of my favorite movies ever. i recently saw it again, one of my faves...i think this is the first time ive watched it as a MAN (i watched it lots in highschool)...
the plot is basically: a kid named william miller grows up sheltered with an overbearing but sweet mom who hates rock and roll and stuff. but he wants to be a rock critic and ends up falling into a position with Rolling Stone magazine interviewing a band and goes on tour with them (the band is fictionalized but is a combination of a bunch of 70s bands).
its a great movie for me because it is such a potent portrayal of that era in a young man's life where you stop being a boy and you become a man. its kind of a portrayal of what these 2 worlds colliding looks and...
