Meet Loser. Loser dies. Reincarnates.
He finds himself a new world that runs on video game logic.
He has cheat codes enabled by default.
He has a harem of trash girls who he never touches.
He will slay the demon lord or something (or add her to the harem)

This is the anime equivalent of junk food.

Saw an interesting Twitter thread about an actually good and original isekai idea where a 50s Noir detective is sent to anime land and has to solve the murder of some elf princess. Would watch it to see how he interacts with the landscape and the weird characters that would be so bizarre to him. Also because he isn't a massive loser beforehand he would essentially be a hentai protagonist in this world.

Weebs mostly watch isekais kek.

He has a harem of trash girls who he never touches.
It's not even about "not touching them". It's about creating a vast cast of girls so every coomer has something to nut to.

And of course a loser and a video game world. Making it painfully relatable for average shut in weeb so he can relate to "generic isekai protagonist nr 323"

This.

Create a bunch of cute anime girls any weeb can eat up, throw the protagonist into some medieval or sci-fi setting, and you have a money printing concept that you can rinse and repeat every anime season; the definitive slop of the anime world and why people struggle to respect the medium at times. I think Hayao Miyazaki said it best when he said most anime is quite frankly not written by "real" people, a lot are shut-ins who barely interact with people and so most the characters they write, especially women, are based off caricatures and stereotypes than individuals they've actually interacted with in their day to day life, hence poorer story telling and characterization. Stuff like this is why generally Studio Ghibli films are considered a league of their own compared to other anime studios as they are animated masterpieces not written by losers but individuals that have actually lived, and to be honest I feel this can apply to most storywriting as why would you want to read something written by someone who can't even understand how their fellow man talks and interacts properly?
