Over the years I noticed that my older friends settle down with women significantly younger than them. Like, 5+ years younger. Kinda bummer If you ask me. As it "steals" women from the dating scene for guys that want to date someone their age. But, think about it

What chances a younger guy has against someone older ? When you're on this planet for 5-10 years longer than someone you compete with, it's very easy to outdo them. You've got so much time to build an impressive physique. You've got time to create your own company, travel the world, achieve something. Gather things you can flex with and impress a girl.

Funny thing is, it doesn't always work like this. A relationship between 18yo and 10yo is straight up fucked up. But 28yo and a 20yo ? Absolutely acceptable. It's funny how screwed up you're if you didn't found the one during highschool or earlier. Now that you're at university or working full time, there's very little age segregation. Besides people your age there are also dudes 5-10 years older that can hit on your crush and win her over. And it will be way easier for them, because they're alive for few years extra and achieved so much more than you did.


Yes I'm still salty about my school crush choosing a 10yo older guy over me. But now that I think about it, I was in such a low of my life and not playing her favorite mmorpg with her was the final nail to the coffin

I agree. Even as a woman, I was impressed by older men because they were a guiding figure in what to do to progress in life. Now were they good people? Fuckkk no. They weren't really impressive people at all, but they had money, a car, a job, a sense of self, they weren't burdened by education, or at the bottom of the job ladder with no time to take off. Basically they were over the struggle and establish period that people my age had to go through. But as I learned from this period in my life, I need to be the one to impress myself, I need the job I need the money I need to actually get my shit together and be something so I can attract a man of equal standing. Being lesser than your partner sucks for your ego and overall self image. Be something you'd date. Staying single would've done me a lot better than calling someone 5 years older than me daddy and having him buy me a knife on valorant. Common sense but as a teen you're retarded. Yes, however I was far too immature to really handle "settling down", next thing you know I'm not even legal age to drink but I have a whole ass child, doesn't hit till you fuck around and find out. Also the real funny thing is both 18 year olds and older men are both horny and want your body but older men have realized showing it outright doesn't work lol. "not all men" of course. There are some girls who find their golden prince and are able to settle down early and really handle it, but a lot of us are honestly daddy issues and find escapism in older men or other reasons like poverty, anxious attatchment, low self esteem. I would've given everything to just realize old or young men weren't going to solve my problems or pity me. I'm projecting hard but I wouldn't say it if I didn't know and see girls like me just following the same path again and again it's actually painful.

Dating older guys doesn’t really get you anything, if you ask me. Sure, they might buy you nice stuff and spoil you, and if you’re into that kind of thing, it might work for you. But in the long run for most people, it probably won’t work out because of the big age gap.

For me, I’ve only dated women who are either a year younger or older than me, so I can’t say from personal experience. But from what I’ve seen, when younger women date older men, there usually isn’t real love involved. Most of the time, it seems like money is the only thing keeping her around. Also, I don’t think women who go for older men are really looking to settle down.

I meant like there is a maturity difference when youre dating a 18 year old compared to say a 23 or 25 year old, people can fix up quick during those 5-7 years I swear
